Interesting World of Sacramento Real Estate - 2/25/2016

Since i became a full time Sacramento Real Estate agent, i have seen and heard many strange/funny/odd/weird/interesting things.  A lot of times i get to see things many people would not in their job since i am inside of so many homes and interacting with some many different people from all walks of life.  Here's a quick look at my latest interesting "thing."

ó In January, the median price decreased to $284,900 compared to $297,000 in Dec. 15. The median is 10.4% higher than a year ago.

ó The available housing inventory is at 1.9 months. Right now, in most areas, there is a slight shortage of homes available for sale compared to the amount of buyers. A “normal”or “balanced market” has been redefined over the past decade & is now considered about 3 months.

ó It’s a price sensitive market right now.  The homes that are priced right, show well and have a high quality marketing plan are getting sold.   The overpriced properties are having price reductions to try and get more attention. The market is already having a “Spring Market” feel to it with more buyers than normal this early in the year.  This is causing a bit of a sellers market in certain areas due to lower inventory as we are still coming out of the typical winter market.

Interesting World of Sacramento Real Estate - 2/11/2016

Since i became a full time Sacramento Real Estate agent, i have seen and heard many strange/funny/odd/weird/interesting things.  A lot of times i get to see things many people would not in their job since i am inside of so many homes and interacting with some many different people from all walks of life.  Here's a quick look at my latest interesting "thing."

#InterestingWorldofRealEstate:
- "We're going to sell our house.  What should we use to stage it?"
- "I don't know, i've got some car parts laying around that we can put in the living room."That's the conversation that went through my head when i saw this vacant house in #CollegeGlen in the summer of 2014.  What an interesting set up.  A car bumper on the fireplace, some rims as end tables and huge truck bed tool box for the center piece.  To this day i'm still not sure what they were going for but just thought i'd share this bizarre staging idea.  #SacramentoRealEstate #EverythingButThePassengerDoor #GreaseMonkeyStaging
